Winter Weather Update - 11:16am Crews are on-site now scraping eastbound lanes on Watson between Corder and S Houston and re-salting intersection

9:25am - From Houston County Emergency Management Agency: "Morning update. Many of you are asking about the roads. Not much has changed from last night. We are actively working to assess all the roads in the County and Cities but it will take some time. Much of the Interstate is a parking lot. Please do not get out on the roads unless you have no other choice. Crews are doing their best to clear the snow and apply salt or sand to ensure emergency vehicles can travel. It is likely we will see some melting this afternoon but not expecting much. Any liquid remaining will refreeze this evening creating much of the same problems."

Winter Weather Update 9:15am - Carl Vinson Pkwy is reported as iced over at all intersections, Russell Pkwy at S. Border Rd and Russell Pkwy at Davis Dr. as well being reported as impassable.
