Councilman Clifford Holmes Recognized and Inducted into the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute’s Inaugural Class of the 400 Club

SAVANNAH – Councilman Clifford Holmes of the city of Warner Robins has been recognized by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) and the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute as an inaugural member of the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute’s 400 Club during GMA’s Annual Convention held in Savannah on June 23.

The Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute, a cooperative effort of GMA and the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government, provides a nationally recognized series of training for elected city officials. To be inducted into the 400 club, an official must have achieved 400 or more hours of training through the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute.

“Councilman Holmes’ commitment to learning and leadership exemplifies the dedication it takes to lead a thriving city,” said GMA CEO and Executive Director Larry Hanson. “Elected officials who pursue this level of training are investing not only in themselves but in the communities they serve.”

With this achievement, Councilman Holmes joins a distinguished group of nine municipal leaders across Georgia who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to good governance, continuing education, and public service.

“These city officials have completed 400 or more hours of training through the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute, surpassing not just expectations, but every certificate level offered,” said UGA’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government Director Rob Gordon. “This level of achievement is a testament to their steadfast commitment to advancing both themselves as city leaders and the communities they serve.”
