Warner Robins, Georgia - Mayor LaRhonda W. Patrick is proud to announce a special guest appearance by Rehab at the 42nd Annual City of Warner Robins Independence Day Celebration, happening Saturday, June 28, 2025, at McConnell Talbert Stadium (400 S. Davis Dr.).
Founded by Warner Robins native Danny Boone, Rehab rose to national acclaim with their genre-blending style of Southern rock, hip-hop, and country. Boone, the band’s founding member and lead vocalist, began performing in his late teens and Rehab was formed in the late 90’s. Rehab was signed to Epic Records, and their debut album “Southern Discomfort,” released in 2000, sold over 140,000 copies. This year marks the 25th anniversary of their breakout hit “Sittin’ at a Bar,” a cultural anthem that propelled the band into the national spotlight and solidified their place in music history.
“We are honored to have Rehab, especially Danny Boone, performing at home during this incredible annual event,” said Mayor Patrick. “Showcasing local talent that has gained national recognition makes this celebration even more meaningful for our community.”
Boone shared that the band is gearing up to release a new EP this summer, followed by a new LP later this year, signaling exciting things ahead for longtime fans and new listeners alike.
Rehab joins a powerhouse lineup that includes headliner Sheila E., the internationally celebrated “Queen of Percussion,” and Reputation, a high-energy Taylor Swift tribute band. The event will kick off with AJ the DJ spinning hits as the gates open, creating a fun and festive atmosphere for guests of all ages.
The celebration will also feature food vendors, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks show to cap off the evening.
Admission is free and gates open at 6:00 PM. For more event details and updates, visit www.wrga.gov.
