We are committed to providing our citizens with a safe and reliable water supply. According to the "Lead Service Line Replacement & Notification Act" by the EPA, every community is required to compile a thorough inventory of water service line materials and submit their discoveries to the State.
For residences or commercial structures erected before 1986, there is a possibility that the water service line is made of lead. The responsibility of evaluating whether your water service contains any lead materials lies with your water service provider. It is estimated that there are between 6 to 10 million lead service lines still in existence in our country. The primary source of lead in drinking water, when present, is pipes.
