Maintaining the cleanliness and environmental sustainability of our city requires collaborative efforts. Below are guidelines to ensure the success of our waste management practices.
Residential Garbage:- Roll carts emptied once per week.
- Garbage must be bagged & tied shut
- Position the cart with handles closer to the house for smooth automated truck action.
- Roll cart must be at curb by 7am on the morning of your collection and removed by 7:30pm
- Collected every other week.
- All yard waste should be free of trash, litter or other materials for collection.
- Yard clippings must be bagged. This includes, but not limited to grass clippings, leaves and pine straw.
- Bundle tree limbs and shrubbery (max 5' long, 7' high Pile)
- Trees will not be collected, and must be removed by the contractor, or taken to the Houston County Landfill

- Bulk Items include appliances, furniture, bedding, mattresses, etc. (Limit 2 per household)
- Remove doors from all appliances for safety purposes.
