Burn Ban in effect May 1 - September 30 Graphic

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – The Warner Robins Fire Department issued the following statement today to remind residents that our area is part of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division’s (EPD) Summer Burn Ban that affects 54 counties across the state.

“We want to remind folks that this ban is in effect for a reason, and that reason is for the safety and wellbeing of our communities,” said Warner Robins Fire Department Personnel. “We all know how thick the air gets during the heat and humidity of the summer months here, making it difficult for many people to breathe. As good citizens, we can do our part by abiding by the EPD’s recommendations.”

Each year between May 1 and September 30, the EPD activates a burn ban that prohibits citizens and businesses from burning yard and land-clearing debris. This is in addition to the year-round state-wide ban on burning household garbage.
