1. How do I check my smoke detector?

Every smoke detector has a test button that is usually located in the center of the detector. Press the test button and hold for a few seconds. If it is working correctly, the alarm will sound and will automatically stop after a few more seconds. Remember to check your batteries monthly and change the batteries in your smoke detector once a year.

2. How do I refill, recharge, or check my fire extinguisher?

Warner Robins Fire Department does not fill or check fire extinguishers. Please consult the yellow pages under fire safety equipment for a company capable of providing this service.

3. Do you give fire extinguisher training to local businesses?

Yes. This is a free service we provide that can be set up upon request. Please contact the Administrative Office at 478-293-1020.

4. Does the Warner Robins Fire Department give out smoke detectors?

Yes. Smoke detectors are donated to our department by local businesses and grants. Please call the Administration Office at 478-293-1020 to see if we have any smoke detectors available.

5. Do you install / check smoke detectors?

Yes. Please call Station One / Fire Headquarters at 478-293-1031 to make an appointment.
