Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Grant 

Warner Robins, GA –The City of Warner Robins in collaboration with Houston County Family Connection has been awarded a Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Grant.  This grant will be used to purchase equipment to support the Teen Maze, Teen Summit, a Pre-Prom event and in the community at various events.   The equipment includes: 2 pedal cars, impairment goggles, safety cones, challenge activity mat, trailer to transport the equipment, portable sound system, road maps, and wristbands.  The equipment will be used to educate the community on the effects of distracted driving and driving under the influence.  

The goals for this grant are to reduce distracted driving related 

crashes/injuries/fatalities, and support effective community traffic safety programs in collaboration with local law enforcement.
