In April of 1995, the Warner Robins Police Department's canine program had its beginning with a 
single-purpose narcotics detection canine and handler. Since that time, the program has expanded.k9 kastor

Currently, the program deploys five narcotics detection canine teams and one explosives detection canine team.  All canine teams are trained for patrol operations, including criminal apprehension and tracking. 


Picture of K9The current vendor for our canines and handler training is Tarheel Canine, Inc. located in Sanford, NC. We currently staff two certified police canine trainers who completed Tarheel training.Picture of K9Our program maintains close ties with the community by being proactive in community relations activities. The unit motto is "Semper Fidelis Officium Civis" meaning "Always Faithful - Duty to Citizens."
